French reinsurer Arundo Re has hired Kshitij Chirimar as Senior Underwriter for the Indian sub-continent, expanding the company’s presence across the region.

Chirimar brings more than 10 years of reinsurance industry experience to the role, with expertise across a range of non-life business lines.

Previously, he has held positions at Verity Knowledge Solutions and ACE Insurance Brokers and has a history of structuring innovative solutions and driving business development in India, Central Asia, and East Asia.

Hervé Nessi, Chief Underwriting Officer at Arundo Re, said: “Kshitij’s expertise in the Indian sub-continent is a real asset for Arundo Re.

“His in-depth knowledge of the local issues and his solid relationships with key players in this market will strengthen our position in this strategic region for the company.”

This appointment comes soon after the reinsurer reported a 15% year on year rise in turnover to €1.361 billion in 2024.
