Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has announced the appointment of Gabe Poppie as Strategic Growth Broker Leader and Brian Cummins as Customer & Broker Engagement Leader for the U.S. Northern Central region.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn his newly created role, Gabe will focus on the further buildout of our relationships with regional and global brokers across the U.S., taking these partnerships to new heights, while Brian leads the ongoing expansion of our customer and broker relationships in the Northern Central U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n

Poppie, who will be based in Chicago, brings to his new role 25 years of industry experience, which spans both the brokerage side of the business and several senior level positions at other insurers.<\/p>\n

The executive has spent the last two years at BHSI, having joined the company as Customer & Broker Engagement Leader for the U.S. Central region. Through his career, Poppies has also held roles at Vantage Risk Companies, Sompo International and Swiss Re.<\/p>\n

Cummins brings to his new role three decades of industry experience as both a broker and property underwriting leader.<\/p>\n

Also based in Chicago, the executive will expand on the experience and strong relationships he has built leading BHSI\u2019s Central region\u2019s property team for more than a decade.<\/p>\n

He has been part of the company since 2023, when he joined as Vice President, Property, having previously held roles at Travelers, CRC Insurance Services and Walton Risk Services.<\/p>\n
