The new platform’s strategy centres on “underwriting excellence, technology-driven operations, and a strong service oriented toward carriers, brokers, and policyholders.”<\/p>\nPrivate investment firm GI Partners, in collaboration with insurance industry veterans Brad Emmons and Brian Hanuschak, has launched a new tech-enabled Managing General Agency (MGA) platform that will focus on acquiring and growing a diversified portfolio of MGAs across numerous lines.<\/p>\n
The new platform’s strategy centres on “underwriting excellence, technology-driven operations, and a strong service oriented toward carriers, brokers, and policyholders.”<\/p>\n
Together, Emmons and Hanuschak bring over five decades of combined experience building and scaling insurance operations.<\/p>\n
Emmons co-founded Orchid Underwriters in the late 90s, scaling the business through organic growth, acquisitions, and multiple private equity recapitalisations before its successful sale to broking group Brown & Brown in 2022. Most recently, he served as CEO of property reciprocal Forza Insurance Holdings.<\/p>\n
