The pair will report directly to MAPFRE RE\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Miguel Rosa.<\/p>\nMAPFRE RE, the reinsurance and global risks arm of Madrid-based insurer MAPFRE, has strengthened its senior management with the appointment of Fernando Utrilla Ag\u00fcero as Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Jos\u00e9 L\u00f3pez Gonz\u00e1lez as Assistant General Manager of MAPFRE Group Business, effective July 1st, 2025.<\/p>\n
The pair will report directly to MAPFRE RE\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Miguel Rosa.<\/p>\n
Additionally, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Inchausti will join as Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective September 6th, 2025, replacing Esteban Tejera, who will step down on that date after reaching the statutory age limit for board membership.<\/p>\n
The Board of Directors of MAPFRE RE emphasised that these appointments align with its structure to consolidate its growth strategy.<\/p>\n
Most recently, Ag\u00fcero was the Assistant General Manager of MAPFRE Group Business at MAPFRE RE. Since joining MAPFRE RE in May 1994, he has held various positions of responsibility.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Gonz\u00e1lez joined MAPFRE RE in September 2008 and has taken on various strategic roles in the retrocession area.
