In the role, Nolan will oversee both contract and commercial surety, which provides both account-based and transactional surety bonds for Zurich’s customers across many different industries.<\/p>\n
Previously, Nolan served as Head of Large Contract Surety at Zurich, where he was in charge of leading a team that provides bonds to contractors performing public works projects as well as private construction projects.<\/p>\n
A renowned figure across the sector, Nolan joined Zurich in 2022 from Berkley Surety, where he previously held the role of Chief Risk Officer and Head of Commercial Surety.<\/p>\n
In addition, Nolan began his career in the industry by working as an underwriting trainee at Chubb, where he later went on to advance to the role of Senior Underwriting Officer.<\/p>\n

He will draw on broad knowledge and experience in both contract and commercial surety as he now takes on responsibility for the overall direction, management and performance of our longstanding Surety business,” commented Paul Lavelle, Head of U.S. National Accounts at Zurich North America, to whom Nolan now reports.<\/p>\n
