Commercial and specialty lines insurer HDI Global has announced the appointment of Phil McDowell as Global Sales & Distribution Lead for International Programmes and Captives.

Based in London, McDowell will work within the global International Programmes (IP) department, focusing on strengthening relationships with global and international brokers. His priorities include enhancing HDI Global’s IP and Captive value proposition and improving the client/broker portal to streamline the stakeholder experience.

He will collaborate with HDI Global’s local Sales & Distribution teams to launch comprehensive marketing campaigns targeting both local and global audiences. McDowell will also focus on deepening engagement with key brokers to help maintain HDI Global’s reputation for exceptional service performance.

McDowell brings a wealth of expertise in the multinational insurance space. He joins HDI Global from RSA, where he spent the past eight years, most recently as Global Network Strategic Relationship Manager. Prior to that, he served as International Business Co-ordinator at Allianz.
