Generali’s Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) business unit and Seguros Bolívar have partnered to launch a reinsurance agreement to strengthen Colombia’s large corporate segment insurance offering.
The partnership aims to provide large Colombian companies with access to comprehensive, tailor-made protection solutions to protect assets and support them in effective risk management.
The agreement combines the financial strength, regional market knowledge, and reputation of Seguros Bolívar with Generali’s capacity and expertise in insuring large risks.
The reinsurance agreement will allow for comprehensive solutions to be offered to large companies with revenues exceeding €25 million, providing them with insurance policies for property, liability, construction, marine hull, and directors & officers.
In construction, the focus will be on projects with values above €50 million. Additionally, the agreement enables Seguros Bolívar to develop customised solutions for companies with international presence, leveraging Generali’s experience in managing global programs.

Through this agreement, the pair aims for market expansion, resource optimisation, and the provision of specialised solutions for protecting the assets of large companies, offering comprehensive support that raises the standard of business security in the country.
