International re/insurance broker United Insurance Brokers Limited (UIB) has announced the appointment of Markus Sayuti as Executive Director, Treaty & Retro Division, UIB Asia, effective 1 July 2025.

Sayuti will play a pivotal role, collaborating closely with the company’s Senior Management and business leadership team to foster future growth and profitability for UIB Asia in the region.

With over 25 years of professional experience across Asia’s re/insurance markets, Sayuti brings a strong blend of broking plus technical insurance and reinsurance expertise to UIB Asia.

He has held a number of business positions throughout his time in the industry, contributing significantly to the growth, expansion and visibility of several market leaders and multinational organisations.

The executive is joining UIB from Guy Carpenter, where he most recently served as Vice President Treaty. Prior to that he worked at Peak Re as Vice President, South and South-East Asia Markets.

Sayuti also served as Assistant Vice President Treaty and Facultative at Aon Benfield, and as Head of Technical (Marine Energy & Non-Marine), managing general agent for Chubb General Insurance.

“The technical expertise, market knowledge, client networks and business relationships he has built with insurers and other market players in Asia will be instrumental in providing further depth of experience UIB Asia has been building over the recent years,” A UIB spokesperson commented.
